Highly enjoyed this newly opened elevated seasonal home style Japanese restaurant. We tired most of the dishes in the menus and we couldn't get enough of it. Everything was cooked beautifully. I especially loved their udon with tempura. Gorgeously presented and the textures of the noodles reminds me of one of my favorite udon restaurants in the city. The braised short ribs with daikon and chickpeas is a dish I could eat over and over again.

A bistro of beautiful birds is their slogan, and beautiful birds they have. We started with the perfectly seared chicken liver salad. Another delicious starter was the foie gras with apples. Simple and delicious. The chicken we chose was the Plymouth Barred Rock which was cooked beautifully then presented in whole then taken away for carving. Juicy meat with crispy skin. So if you ever crave a well cooked tasty chicken, this is the place for you.

Surprisingly good coal oven pizza could be found in the theater district. I tried the pepperoni which was quite tasty. The thousands degree coal oven cooks the pizza in just minutes. Resulting in a slightly charred crust just the way I like it. They also have a large selection of pasta dishes.

Excellent vegetarian and vegan focused restaurant. Innovative and creative dishes that made me forget there is no meat on the menu. Highlights include polenta fries, vegetarian ramen with kombu, mushrooms, sweet potatoes and red miso broth, kaboucha squash dumplings. The dining room is light, airy and comfortable with the addition of a handsome bar. Truly a nice addition on University Place.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Hell's Kitchen. The place is tiny, but the food is consistently great. Be sure to ask for their secret menu. The crispy fried pork is a must get. We also tried a steamed rice roll dish w ground pork and vegetables off the secret menu. If you don't like your food too spicy be sure to let them know so they could adjust the spice level for you.
