One of the best in SJ
I first tried Smoking Pig when it first opened. It was poor BBQ at the time. Since then, Smoking Pig has greatly improved. Their brisket and ribs are on point. Mac and cheese is also done well. Service is quick and they almost always have their entire menu even late at night. Keep in mind, the best BBQ in San Jose does not compare to the best BBQ of the south or even So-Cal, so take this review with somewhat of a grain of salt when comparing to other establishments outside the Bay Area.

Smoking Pig is not the place you go for the ambience or the service, but the delicious BBQ meat. I ordered the 3 item combo because I couldn't decide and wanted to try everything - I got the brisket (fatty), Ribs and the pulled pork. Granted, the food wasn't very hot when I had it which was a bit disappointing but I took it home, warmed it up in the oven and it was freaking delicious!
The mac n cheese is undoubtedly the best I've ever had with pieces of meat in there for that oh-so-unhealthy but delicious taste.
I would definitely recommend getting some food to go from here if you're in the mood for some quality BBQ.

Most reviewers comment on the large selection of ingredients to choose from and also the quality. Only fresh vegetables and meat products are used. The portions have been noted as extremely large for the price of the meal.
