it's like there's Top Chef competition going on with all the Bubble Tea shops in NYC. this has BEEN a trend of Flushing for many years. it's just the rest of NYC finally caught onto it. same with Brooklyn.
i've had negative experiences with the Chatime in Flushing. with young Chinese kids who gave me heaps of attitude. it's the same service at most of the Chatime locations (except for Koreantown, Food Gallery 32!) they can't speak english well and get frustrated if you ask them questions like, "what would you recommend i pair my milk tea with?" (ie. pudding, boba, jelly) they respond to me with, "WHAT?" WOW.... OK, thanks.
the milk teas are very delicious and flavorful. the BOBA... is disgustingly hard and unsweetened. one of the worst bubbles in the area. i do like that you can adjust the sugar and ice- but most people don't know this because NO ONE MENTIONS IT TO YOU.
the location of Chatime is prime and wonderful. directly across Macy's at Flushing Center Mall...
