Why should you try a Kpop Diet?
Being a Kpop idol isn't just about having a good voice or strong material to sing, although both those things help. Take a look at Kpop idols all over the charts, and you'll notice something striking, that they're all in fantastic shape. To be a Kpop idol, you have to not only be in shape, but you also have to have the energy to perform what is often a grueling schedule of concerts, recording sessions, and publicity appearances. Kpop idols take to this grueling lifestyle with positive attitudes and glowing appearances. It's only natural then that as fans we would want to imitate that that approach to healthy living in our own lives. By following the same guides for eating and exercise as our favorite idols, we can try to get on their level.
Three paper cups to weight loss.
One of our first Kpop diets is marvelously simple. If you can keep track of three paper cups, you're ready for the simplicity of the paper cups Kpop diet. Espoused by Kpop idols Nine Muses, this diet simply involves using small portion sizes to ensure weight loss and weight maintenance. It's important what goes into those paper cups, too. You're not going to be doing much of a diet if you fill them all up with M&M's. Sera and Hyemi of of Nine Muses recommend doing it like they do: one cup gets brown or multi-grain rice, one cup gets a fruit or vegetable, and one gets a side, perhaps of almonds or some other healthy element. You can also vary things a little by adding a meat portion in place of the vegetable or fruit at dinner time. Just try to avoid anything that's really high in sodium or fat content. The rice, meat and sides should provide you with the carbs and calories you'll need for energy, and the veggies and fruit should give you enough essential vitamins. Because you're strictly controlling your portions, though, a multivitamin may be a good way to just to ensure the healthy nature of this Kpop diet. If you find that you need more energy and calories than you're getting from this diet, experiment with slightly raising the portion sizes too.
If you lack willpower, this Kpop diet is perfect for you.
We get you and we feel your pain. Dieting can be a hassle that wears you down, constantly trying to keep track of what's OK to eat and what isn't. Seo In-Young, the Kpop idol and TV star has the perfect diet for you to try. It's called the banana diet, and it isn't complicated at all. You eat, you guessed it, bananas. Specifically, on the banana diet you eat two of these fruits in the morning, with two cups of water to drink. Then you simply have a regular lunch and dinner where anything is fine, as long as you don't totally stuff your face. You can also eat up to 2 bananas throughout the day, along with drinking at least another liter of water. That's it. We like that this diet lets us snack when we need to, even if the snack is bananas. Bananas are very healthy, they're fairly filling, and you should get plenty of energy if you follow this. Seo has been a vocal proponent of the diet, saying it's helped her to maintain her slender figure. One thing we should point out is that this isn't a rapid weight loss diet like the paper cups plan. This diet involves more gradual weight loss, and is also great for maintaining a target weight when you slim down.
If you need to lose weight fast, try this Kpop diet.
Most nutritionists and dieticians really recommend that you avoid trying crash diets to shed pounds quickly. We understand all that, but those nutritionists may not have to squeeze into formal wear for a wedding in two weeks, either. There are times when you've got to lose weight quickly, and one way to do it is a diet variously known as the Copenhagen Diet or the Danish Hospital Diet. This diet is pretty strict and will require you to eat a lot of hard boiled eggs along with fresh fuit like bananas and grapefruit. You can't do any between meal snacking, either. You also need to exercise, either with jogging, brisk walks, or bike riding. If you can stick to this Kpop diet (which is sweeping China and Korea right now, despite the European name), you can lose weight rapidly in two weeks. Kpop idol Nicole of KARA swears by it, claiming in an interview it helped her shed almost seven pounds in 13 days. One thing that everyone who uses this diet stresses is that you should only ever stay on it for 13 days, because you may not get enough nutrition from it to sustain your body long term.
This Kpop diet keeps it very simple.
If you have to take off some pounds fairly quickly and don't want to fool around with counting calories on everything you eat, you can do what Lee Ji-eun, known to millions of fans as IU, did. She wanted to spend a week or two losing a lot of weight before returning to live performances and decided on using a single food diet. In her case, the single food was sweet potatoes. It makes some sense. Sweet potatoes are loaded with nutrients, are fairly filling, and provide lots of energy. The other great thing about sweet potatoes is that you can cook them in a variety of ways, putting them in casseroles, braising them, and even maybe sauteeing them in olive oil. That makes it feel not quite so redundant. There are other variations of single food diets, but many of those (like the so-called “Watermelon Diet”, which wasn't a diet at all, just a misinterpretation of a quote by Kpop idol Park Bom) aren't really recommended. Even the sweet potato diet is something that you should only try for a limited time, at most two weeks.
Another simple, yet tried and tested one
The simplicity of the banana diet is what makes it popular in the KPop world. The trick is to eat a banana and drink water for breakfast, that's it. As long as your lunch isn't too big of a serving, you have the freedom of eating anything you'd like. The same applies for dinner - anything is fine as long it isn't too much.
It is preferred by a lot of celebritiesbecause it doesn't involve troublesome things like cooking special meals or keeping a track of your calories. The popular actress Seo In Young claims to have lost weight thanks to this diet. The reason why this diet is so effective is because swapping a banana or two for an entire meal means that you kicked out a meal from your day. A banana won't make much difference in terms of calories but it still keeps your stomach full.
By any name, this Kpop diet will take off the pounds.
Whether you prefer to know them as SNSD or Girls Generation, their diet plan was one of the first widely publicized Kpop diets out there. The SNSD diet calls for a daily meal intake of 1500 calories, consisting of a lot of broccoli, brown rice, chicken breasts and side herbs like cherry tomatoes and fruits like watermelon. As you can probably tell, this is a diet that is big on protein and nutrients while doing everything possible to avoid carbs and fat. There are other important components of this diet. Like many plans, this one requires you to drink a lot of water, because that can have natural hunger suppression capabilities. The other part is to ensure that you get some exercise as well. This is another diet to use to lose weight, but not one that you should stick with for longer than a month or two. Try to set yourself an reasonable target weight to achieve with this diet and once you get there, move on to a food regimen that provides a few more calories and nutrients.
Things you should consider before you start a Kpop diet.
Our favorite Kpop idols manage to maintain remarkably slim and trim bodies by adhering to some of the diets we mentioned. We want to note, though, that the management companies that have these pop stars under contract also keep personal trainers and nutrition professionals with them while they tour and do publicity appearances. Those trained and certified workers can closely monitor the health of their Kpop idols and adapt their diets according to need. It's also important to point out that nutritionists recommend that you get at least 2,000 calories per day, and most of these diets will give you significantly smaller numbers than that. Most Kpop idols also work out and engage in directed exercises to either stay trim or to tone their abs and legs. Be mindful of how you're feeling and be ready to change your diet or alter the foods you eat if you find yourself running out of energy and not being able to function well.
